It would be nice to have groups that would allow more interaction between people.
It should be easier to invite members of your group to the games; there should be the possibility to paste links or images or do surveys to animate them more and make them more attractive.

I'm sorry, i looked for similar suggestions before writing mine, but i couldn't find any.
Anyway, reading it, i see that some suggestions are the same, but some are different. It would be nice to "unite" them! :)

It's not possible to actually merge them, but it's better to focus on one report with more votes (this one).

Something I would love to see is if I click “invite a friend” in a game, it shows me all the people on my friend list who also have the game “favorited”. That way, I can see at a glance which of my friends knows the game and would be more willing to accept an invitation.

Hi, I have now seen that you have written more suggestions. Unfortunately, as there are no notifications for suggestions, I lose them.
You have all given nice ideas. Honestly though, I don't understand why certain requests are approved or rejected in a day, while mine has been open for a year and with a lot of votes in favour.
I don't know.

We should get notifications when people comment on our bug reports, or at least get the option to get notifs.

Please add the possibility for admins to ban users from joining.

Somebody has reported that it is not possible to kick group members out. This is in fact possible, but it is not currently possible to ban them. I have a problem with one user that keeps rejoining my groups just to troll. I could limit the ability to post to only admins, but an important part of the group is to let members communicate...

It would be nice to create tables within the group as well so it automatically limited access to that group and posted a link into the group chat/wall. It's currently a hassle setting games up and copying the link, especially on mobile. I've had a few where I've incorrectly assigned the restriction to the wrong group (totally my fault, but annoying)

@SimplicatusGames I understand what you mean and I absolutely agree.
My group is large and I can't even ban because I don't see everyone on the list. Just think where we are with the organisation of these groups.

@fieldofcarcassonne yes, the bga link system would also need to be reviewed. You copy a link and only part of it is pasted in, making it non-functional. How strange.

I think it would be helpful to create a group and start an audio chat that kept during games and outside of games. When I do a game night with people, we have to start and restart the audio during every new game.

Yes, it would be very good to allow group administrators to have access to all group members, without limits. This is because I have noticed that it is not possible to view more than 500, and this is a big limit for groups of 1000 or more people.

Bonjour l'équipe
Mon problème c'est déroulé pendant Carcassonne.
C'etait le tour de mon adversaire. Mon adversaire ne jouer plus depuis deux minutes.Il était à la fin de son temps imparti.
J'ai décidé de rafraîchir la page me disant qu'il y avait peut-être un problème et j'ai été expulser soit disant du jeu pour inaction avec perte de 20 karma alors que j'étais bien actif

It is really inconceivable that the administrator of a group cannot delete messages written on the noticeboard by members! One could enter, write a blasphemy and I could do absolutely nothing. I have no words. How does one get considered here?

These days there is an account that writes a spam message on the wall of all groups with a link, probably a virus, and we administrators cannot delete it.
Can you believe it??
Please give us the possibility to delete other people's messages on our group notice board!!

It would be nice to visualize tables restricted to the group, directly in the group page, to join easily those new games, instead of drowning the group chat with old links.

It's a shame that we have to use tools like discord to maintain our community. Would love to see more functions for groups. In my opinion, having a strong community is an advantage against the competition like TTS/Tabletopia etc.
Love to see some feedback, if this will be considered by BGG for future imovements.

I agree, I'm playing a a game that is not on BGA with people who we met on BGA. Some of them don't want to use Discord, so we're using a BGA group, but it's way too many clicks to check on the running chat. Maybe groups can have settings so people can be notified if a post is made? Or maybe a group setting so the "discuss" window pops up and stays up, so I can see it when I log back in, like private messages do. Or what about group private messages? There are several ways to improve the group-play aspect on BGA!

Why is it not possible to revoke admin privileges (by other admins)? Sometimes someone doesn't work out and causes problems, and there is no way to remove them from the group!

Recently . . . October 10 2025 . . . "improvements" were made to how groups are listed. Previous to the change members of a group were listed according to online status . . . with those currently online listed first followed by all other group members. The so-called improvement is to list members of a group alphabetically. This change makes it very tedious to search among multiple pages of members' names to see who in my group is currently online. Please change it back to show who is currently online at the top of the group list.
