This is similar to bug 61374 and bug 62039. It would be an option (default is turned off) that would automatically reject trade offers from other players for a resource that you don't have. This feature would only activate if you are offline.
Obviously, this has the drawback that other players can guess what resources you have by simply asking for a trades of each resource and seeing what happens. But that can happen in a normal Catan game anyway, and it's a choice for the player. Maybe add a delay of one minute before the response or something. -

It held up game play for the others playing the game, as well. Their should be a Trade Block option each turn
when a player offers the same Trade more than once. Otherwise, do not penalize the player's being offered a Trade, by Time. Give a 5 second counter to accept a Trade. If not accepted during that Time, the offer expires.
Unfortunately, this bug is identical to bug 62039.
Given that this bug suggestion is addressed in existing recommendations, this suggestion should be rejected and the discussion on this topic should occur in those earlier posts.
That said, and in case the reader chooses not to add to the earlier discussion on this topic, I'll repeat my comment from that post:
I would modify this to a "don't care to trade" for a particular, or all, resource(s)
That way one can choose how much information to share and be more clear about one's trading interests.
Since I already up voted 62039 I haven't up voted this suggestion.
